On September 17th, Saturn re-enters Sagittarius, where he will remain until December 19, 2017.  Saturn did have a short retrograde back into Scorpio on June 14, 2015 though September 17th, 2015.  

Saturn, the planet of Restriction, Time, Discipline, Responsibility & Hard Work, spends an average of 2 1/2 years in each of the 12 astrological signs; therefore taking 27-30 years to orbit around the Sun.  This is when your first Saturn Return takes place in your 1st House.  You usually have a large lesson and restructuring of daily routine and life agenda between the ages of 27-30 (depending on your natal degree placement in your chart).  Saturn takes his time with his process of stripping down and refurbishing you. Jovial Jupiter, the most abundant, beneficent planet, makes his transit into Leo on July 16, 2014 at 3:30am EST/6:30am PST. He will remain in Leo through August 11, 2015.  This extended stay is normal for Jupiter, as He transits once a year around the zodiac, gracing each sign for at least one full year. It takes him 12 years to go around the wheel, so when he lands in your Sun Sign or your Ascendant, it is time for opportunity, expansion & growth, benevolence and pure luck!

Jupiter governs Sagittarius, the solar 9th House, in Astrology. He brings on adventure, long-distance journeys and higher education. He also broadens the scope of philosophy, science & religion. Black & Blue Moons: The New Black Moon in Aries on March 30th

We are used to the expression, Blue Moon, thanks to The Marcels in the 60's, Sha-Na-Na in the 70's and probably some  club-dub re-mix of the track in the 90's.  However, in astrology, a Blue Moon does not hold the meaning of loneliness quite like the songs portray. A Blue Moon is a rare occasion.  When two Full Moons appear twice in one month, the latter of the two is called the Blue Moon.  And each month we receive one Full Moon (FM) and one New Moon (NM), usually 14 days apart. However, in March, there is an even rarer occasion...a DOUBLE NEW MOON. When there are two NMs in one month, we call the second, a Black Moon. A Black Moon is seen as an omen of change, a catalyst of transformation. During a Black Moon, hidden truths will be brought to the surface in order to be exposed and swept clean. It is a time of deep introspection and regeneration. 

On March 1st, we had our NM in Pisces.  Our FM in Virgo was on March 16th.  And just as this long, roaring month closes, we have another NM in Aries on March 30th - very powerful energy here. 

In the Northern Hemisphere, the Vernal Equinox is on March 20th. So, the NM that follows is always the first NM of Spring.  In astrology, this time of year marks our New Year on the Astrological Wheel.  Ever wonder why all horoscopes start with Aries?  It is not due to alphatetizing the signs in the horoscope. The Full Moon in Gemini on December 17th

If you look up into the sky on the eve of December 16th, you may notice the most gigantic bulb shining down upon you.  This Full Moon is the Long Night's Moon and She will be hanging low and at her brightest. This year-end Full Moon will be 25º Gemini at 4:28am EST/7:28am PST on December 17th.  Every December is the Gemini FM.  And every year, she illuminates the roads so brightly, that street lights are no longer necessary.

The Northern Hemisphere is at it's darkest time of the solar year in December.  So, naturally, The Moon adjusts Her shine accordingly. This is the perfect Moon to reflect on your annual progress, as She will be bringing things to a culmination just in time to end the year.  Imagine stringing 12 popcorn kernels with a needle and thread into a chain to decorate your Altar or Christmas tree. Analogy: Each month's FM is a popcorn kernel.  They are all connected and touching each other on the thread. Some of the salt may rub off onto the next as they snuggle up. Meaning, the circumstances that were highlighted during each month's FM for you, are then strung and joined together as an annual chapter, ready to be decorated and hung up on the tree. New Moon Solar Eclipse 11° Scorpio on November 3rd

Every monthly New Moon (NM) brings new beginnings into our lives. And only on New Moons can there be Solar Eclipses.  Full Moons (FM) bring endings and the dismantling of paths that do not suit our Higher good or purpose.  On FMs, there are can only be Lunar Eclipses.  This year we have had an overwhelming amount of Solar & Lunar Eclipses stacking up to this very one, in Scorpio, on November 3rd. 

At 4:46am PST/7:46am EST, we have a NM Solar Eclipse at 11° Scorpio. This eclipse is initiating any healing or development that may need to occur from the Scorpio FM Lunar Eclipse on April 25th.  Think back to that time this year.  Where were you? What was your focus in life? And what you were dealing with? Did anything dismantle suddenly around you?  Did your dreams or hopes not come to fruition?  Well, you may just have a large chance at summing up that experience over this weekend.  These eclipses are tied together.  They are wrapping up any unfinished business in a tidy, deep lavender bow. And, thankfully so.

This Scorpio NM can advance us due to its intensity.  Scorpio is a fixed, feminine, water sign with deep sensitivities and astute introspection. I also thought that mentioning the late eclipse in April might lend more info regarding what you may be healing from.  Some may not move through their darkness to get to the peaceful light.  So, any light that can be shed, can assist in one's healing; whether it comes from the science of planetary positioning, the guidance of intuition, or the art of the Tarot. We are in a cleansing, transformative time with Scorpio.  The Universe wants us to live our Highest Truths.  I believe this.  I am not coming from a place of fear.  I embrace all light and hope.

Lastly, with this Scorpion energy, know what does not work for you. I'll repeat that.  Know What Does Not Work For You. Mercury Retrograde: Oct 21-Nov 11

Mercury, the tiniest and closest planet to the Sun, slows down on us three times per year, for three weeks at a time.  This is more of an inconvenience to us on Earth than you'd think.  Mercury is the fastest moving planet and we rely on Him to move accordingly in His 116 day orbit around the Sun.  When Mercury goes retrograde, the speed of this planet slows down, giving the appearance of a backwards rotation around the Sun, compared to the other eight planets.  And we can visibly see this Messenger planet take His hiatus from Earth!

Mercury governs Geminis and Virgos.  He is their ruling planet. However, all twelve astrological signs are affected by a retrograde cycle, depending upon what sign the retrograde takes place, by how many degrees, and within what house this occurs for each astrological sign. This Retrograde takes place at 18º Scorpio at 3:28am PST/6:28am EST.

Mercury represents communication, publishing, teaching, thoughts, the brain, the intellect, the nervous system, words, logic, conscious memory, computers, learning and short-distance travel.  Overall, these forms of expression and action will be hindered during a retrograde.  Excellent news, isn't it? What helps here is to know when these inconveniences will slow down for us, so we can better prepare for them.  We can also make arrangements around that time frame.  Or we can just ignore it and throw caution to the wind.  But don't be surprised when your "unexpected" technical difficulties occur from October 21st through November 11th.  You were forewarned. ;)

Since it takes several days for Merc to actually come to His comfortable speed and pace in our atmosphere, I like to give a full Retrograde five days on each end to clear it's 'shadow period' (October 16th -Nov 17th). And this being the last Retrograde of the year, you can expect the most delays with the above Mercurial traits because it will be the strongest. Mercury wants us to reaccess our schedules, plans, and progression of life through each one of His delays.  So, as a finale, He will be tying all of the loose ends that you may not have focused on, or caught, during the previous two retrogrades in 2013, from February 23rd-March 17th, and from June 26th-July20th. So, He will insist you revise, review, rewrite, reanalyze and reposition your life according to your Highest good and purpose...even if you find it uncomfortable. Good Luck, Everybody! ;)

Leo: Lions, your 4th House of Home, Family & Property may be uprooted in this retrograde.  You can expect mild frustrations with plumbing, property maintenance, family communications within the home, etc.  You are one of the few signs that could benefit from being outside of the home in this transit!  Be prepared to spend a little extra dough on TVs, computers & washing machines going bizerk.  You could actually have repairs on the actual home itself.  If you are scheduling any remodels, please wait until after Nov. 11th.  I wouldn't want you to waste your time.  There will be chaos if that is attempted. Libra: I am not sure if I want to write this, Libra.  Your 2nd House of Money and Finances will be on hold for this transit.  You should cut spending unless absolutely necessary through Nov. 11th.  The more you can save during this time, the more you will receive when Merc goes direct.  When a retro falls in your 2nd House, you won't be communicating about dough as easily either.  You should postpone meetings with accountants and investors.  Stay off E*Trade.  Do not touch or adjust your stocks. And avoid wearing the color green. ;)  That last one is a joke.  Tarot Card: The Hanged Man - This indicates the hold on funds for you, Libra.  Even though you yearn for that balance in your wallet and bank, you will see it readjust after Merc goes direct.  Patience is your virtue.

Scorpio: Hiiiii Scorpio... Lucky you!  This retrograde falls in your 1st House of Self.  It takes place 18º Scorpio.  Just like Stevie Wonder says, "You can (and will) feel it all over". Your communications, your mind, nor the way you express yourself, will be transmitting properly.  You may have the right things to say, but whether or not they are understood is yet to be seen. You could be confused for these three weeks. Through Nov. 11th, take a minute to really revise, review, reassess what you want and where you are going.  Merc urges us to rethink our paths, and you will feel this deep in your loins, being the sign He decides to land in.  It's ok if no one around you understands you or where you are coming from.  Know you are loved anyway. Tarot Card: Temperance - Be patient through this retrograde, Scorpion. Mercury retrogrades tend to bring reflection from your past into the current brain waves.  You can have active dreams of past lovers, dreams of your childhood, and be reevaluating these areas, as well.  Reflect on a time where you felt harmony, balance & ease.  It will soon return.

Sagittarius: Your 12th House of Secrets, Psychic Matters & Intuition will be shaken during this transit, Sadge.  You are usually a very intuitive, mutable sign.  However, your intuition may be off for three weeks.  You won't be able to trust your gut as much as seeing things with your own eyes.  Not to confuse Merc with any Neptunian traits, but since this transit governs your 12th House, your quiet Spirit World may be on lock down.  Either you won't let a soul in, or you won't let anyone out.  The choice is yours.  It just may be hard to decide. Capricorn: Cappie!  Your 11th House of Hopes & Wishes is becoming still through this retrograde.  If you have dreams, as I'm sure you do (and granted they involve $ and career), Dream Big! Just don't worry about taking action on your dreams and their manifestation just yet. Let the inner-workings develop in solitude. Remain quietly focused, if you can, on your Hopes, Wishes, Clubs, Organizations, Friendships.  They will have time to develop after Nov. 11th.  There are worse Houses for a Retrograde to fall in.  I'm not as concerned with this one.  You're a steady horse, Cap.  You'll ride through it.  Tarot Card:  Six of Cups - This is cool because it is indicative of happiness and memories of the past. Aquarius: Your 10th House of Career, Status & Ambition is highlighted in this retrograde, Aquarius.  If you are looking for new work, try not to rush it during these three weeks.  Your career is slowing down.  Try to just pummel through with what you know.  You will be rethinking what you are doing for living in a big way.  You can review where you've been and where you want to go.  Expect some delays on the technical side of this retrograde, as you are a sister air sign to Gemini, and you will feel the stutter in your phrases, and hear the glitch on your cell phone.  Tarot Card:  Ten of Wands - This can mean an oppressive load or burden.  You may have a ton on your plate regarding career right now.  The pressure is on.  Just try not to make any sudden changes in this retro.  Think it through first.  You have three weeks to plan.

The Full Harvest Moon in Pisces on September 19th ~by Audrey Alison

As we change seasons into Autumn, we will see one of the fluffiest moons of the year appear, like it does each September. The Harvest Moon actually blooms 3 days before the Fall Equinox, but we will see and feel Her effects days before and after, guaranteed. This dusky moon has the tendency to be more orange in the east, more yellow in the west. But no matter what side of the hemisphere you are on, she'll be Big!

The Moon controls the tides, so there is no doubt that there will be an effect on our emotions from the Moon at Her fullest.  During Full Moons, what had commenced during the New Moon of each month, usually 14 days prior, either comes to a head or culmination, fruition, or it dismantles completely.  So, whatever your intentions were, or what path you were focusing on during the New Moon of Sept 5th, had about 2 weeks to manifest and grow during the waxing phase of that moon to Full.  Now, on September 19th, you will see the blessings of your intentions start to bloom (just like She does!) or you will see them almost fall apart.  Don't fret.  The Universe protects you at all costs, even if it seems like you wanted to control something or wanted something badly. It is all about timing.  And the Universe has our best intentions at heart and will time our paths accordingly.  Also, when things dismantle, whether it's a love you wanted to happen or believed in, a job you were hoping for, whatever your heart's desire, there are better things in store for you through this breakdown. We just can't always see it.  Sometimes we can sure feel it, though. 

This FM (Full Moon) is in the sign of Pisces, an emotional water sign to begin with.  The Moon card in the Tarot also represents Pisces.  So, what we have here is a very comfortable placement in the cosmos.  How it will affect each sign, we shall see... Gemini:  She shines in your 10th House of Career & Professional Destiny.  This will add some emotional decisions to your mix.  Pisces glowing in the career sector can lead to your becoming more emotionally tied to what you are doing for a living.  Your career is connected to your inner soul.  Try not to show too much emotion in your work environment over this big lunar phase.  Keep any emotional outbursts at home.  Tarot Card: King of Pentacles.  Use this phase to enhance your dough through career.  You may have the tendency to persuade, through emotions, those who surround you in your field.  Balance your air sign qualities, with the emotions of Pisces mixed with the grounding of the Earth in the Pentacles.  C'mahn, Gem!  You can handle 3 things at once.

Cancer:  This FM enlightens your 9th House of Faraway Travels, Abstract & Higher Concepts and Spiritually.  If you are planning to travel, you know there is water involved in this adventure.  Possibly even a cruise.  You are water, Cancer.  Pisces is your sister sign.  You are loving this FM because it stirs an emotional desire to enhance your spiritual growth and comfortable, higher knowledge.  Third eye is not blind in this placement. Your intuition is spot on. You can feel and see through people at this time.  Use it to your advantage. Leo: Hi Lions & Lionesses!  I just wanted to say that. Your 8th House of Sex & Passion is brightened through this lunar phase. Congratulations. ;) It is brightened, but also more emotional.  If you were the type to get down and dirty without attaching yourself to anyone, good luck with that this week.  You are unusually prone to clingy behavior on a sexual-emotional level.  One night stands are out of the question here.  And if they occur, you may cry afterward.  =P   You could encounter an emotional connection with someone who has passed also, as the 8th House is connected with Death, Change & Transformation. Put it this way.  This week is deep.  You may not like the feeling of someone watering your fire.  But, go with the flow. Pun.  Tarot Card: Judgment.  Whatever emotional encounters that occur for you this week, do not be hard on yourself.  This is a temporary phase.  You are not a Saint.  And honestly, you deserve a break on yourself.  Lick your own wounds, Lions.

Virgo: Happy Birthday to you, Virgoans! She illuminates your 7th House of Unions, Marriage & Partnerships.  The 7th House is an angular House called the Descendant. The Descendant is all about how you are merging with other people. This lunar phase will make you more emotional about your alter ego, companionships, one-to-one relationships, marriage, and any components regarding marriage; contracts, lawyers, mediators etc. If you are feeling mentally exhausted this week in this area, do not freak out. The Moon actually has a larger effect on this arena than people realize.  Things may feel too emo for you to deal with right now in this sector.  This will die down shortly after the 24th.  Could also be that contracts and any negotiations involving partnership is a sensitive area that should be dealt with when the moon is waning from Sept 24-Oct 3rd.  Tarot Card:  Temperance.  With patience, balance and timing, everything can be rebuilt and you can improve on what is leftover.  Keep in mind, you have to learn to control your emotions.  Temperance in this lunar phase could definitely mean, stay calm in the face of this emotional storm.

Libra:  Your 6th House of Daily Routines, Health & Everyday Life is expanding full during this phase.  You are connected on an emotional level to what you do within every hour of each day.  You don't take anything for granted during this phase.  This is a beautiful way to be in life, in general.  The downside...Every little thing may make you tear up.  You see a commercial, it gets you sentimental.  You are running errands and standing behind a small child in the grocery store and find yourself cooing at them like a crazy person.  This is you this week.  Also, don't fret about your health too much.  Now is NOT the time to be googling conditions that you think you may have.  Your health is affected by this FM, but only emotionally.  You don't need the xanax.  It's just the Moon. Tarot Card: King of Swords.  Figures.  This air sign male is the communicator. I like this card for you air sign Libras because it balances your sappiness this lunar phase with a little bit of a rational mind. You need this balance as The Scales are your astrological symbol.

Scorpio:  Your 5th House of Leisure, Children & Creativity is shining right now!  You will definitely feel more emotional during this week of the Full Moon regarding children and how you spend your leisurely time.  And when I say emotional, I mean totally batshit emo.  Pisces is your sister sign, Scorpio, and this FM will affect you more strongly than others.  Not to mention, you've got Venus in your sign pumping you up, too.  Good for you!  You deserve a little ego boost.  However, after Sept 24th, you'll be able to take your rose-colored contacts out and clean them with some clear solution.  The one weird tendency this FM could have on you is to fall under the disillusionment (Pisces governed by Neptune, planet of Disillusion) that things are better than they truly are. Tarot Card:  The Devil.  Well, that's comforting, isn't it.  This means you may have a pattern in this lunar phase that you are not clearly seeing...or possibly admitting. The Devil can mean addictions, sex, things that taunt and haunt you.  What this FM will do is elaborate on some of these areas that you have closed your eyes to or swept under the carpet to avoid.   And that's good for you, too!

Sagittarius:  This FM in Pisces gleams into your 4th House of Home & Family.  You are feeling very emotional and intense regarding this area of your life.  As a mutable, masculine, fire sign, you may even get oddly and unnecessarily overprotective regarding your home.  As long as you have an updated security system, you don't need to obsess, Sadge.  You absolutely will be dealing with the overly emotional family members through this phase of Sept 16-Sept 24.  There will be a watery boatload of feelings expressed from you to family, as well as from family to you. Now, emotional doesn't always mean "good" emotional.  So, be on high alert for some ups and downs.  Water off a duck's back, though.  Pun. Your family's opinions in this lunar phase are not as significant as the way you feel inside.  Tarot Card:  10 of Cups.  Lovely!  This is a water card that represents journey's completed, special celebrations and good, festive occasions.  Enjoy this time!  Just keep an eye out for fam that wants to yuck it up too much, get you too emotional and rattle your cage.

Capricorn:  You can talk the sweet talk & then, walk the short walk, Cap.  This FM is shining down on your 3rd House of Communications & Short Journeys.  You will be heading somewhere within an hour or so distance.  You need a minute away from your surroundings during this lunar phase.   Might even want to do something solely with the people you feel you communicate with best.  Pack a picnic and head to the nearest beach. I feel like this FM will not be as emotional compared to its placements in other signs for you, Cap.  And it's a good thing to make it out relatively unscathed.  Tarot Card:  The Fool.  Hhhmm...  This card is not meant to hurt your feelings.  You just have to watch out for believing what everyone that you're communicating with has to tell you is all.  But, honestly, you are a very good judge of character.  You know when you're smelling horseshit.  Just be careful that this FM doesn't have you believing in the unusual. 

Aquarius:  You love this FM, Aquarius.  You do.  You know why? Because nothing says amazing like a Full Moon raining down money into your 2nd House of Finances, Possessions & Fiscal Responsibility. The fact that it's a FM in this House is very nice.  Means your pockets are already growing.  You are connected with your money and feel an intuitive urge to expand it.  You would be excellent at placing bets this lunar phase. You'll succeed with any stocks, risks, hedge funds, fiscal opportunities and random acts of charity.  All things dinero will come back to you this phase.  That makes you happy to purchase all the new technology you adore.  There is increase ahead for you.  Tarot Card:  Ace of Wands- This card means you could even be direct and creative with how you earn your income.  You are the person taking action in how you are going after what you want.  And what you want this phase is more cushion.  I really think this card solidifies that you are determined (it's a card of action) to get where you need to be financially.

Pisces:  Well, Pisces.  This is your Full Moon.  We only get one per year in each sign (except for rare Blue Moon occasions), so you must take advantage of it.  Just heed my advice.  Get a pen.  Make a list of 1-3 things that you'd like to achieve or see in your life (no delusions of grandeur, please) and write them on a small piece of paper.  Fold this paper up into a small square and put in inside your pillow case for 28 days; a full lunar phase from Full to Full.  Sleep on this every night.  Or as much as you can, if you're not home every night.  You are meant to create your own destiny with the Full Moon blazing bright in your 1st House of Self. You are now deciding what you'd like to achieve for the rest of this year. The only other time that is good for this is the New Moon in your sign, which always falls within the month of your birthday, February.   So, don't wait til then!  You are a shining star of emotional expression this week.  And we love you.  Tarot Card:  The Magician.  Purrrrrfect.  This is validation for me that the little trick above will help you create and manifest your own destiny.  So, don't hurt yourself thinking.  ;)

The Story of The Star         9/4/13

One of my favorite Major Arcana cards is #17, The Star.  It represents Aquarius, the water bearer.  However, it is an Air Sign card.  Although ironic, that isn't the most fascinating part to me.  The story behind the depiction of the card is one that I treasure.  It is not one of fame or fortune, but of guidance. It is so alluring & graceful, like that of any Shakespearean sonnet.  If you're familiar with the Tarot, you'll notice the story incorporates two other Major Arcana cards to tell its tale.  At least to me, it resonates within.  Enjoy!~

On the bleak landscape where the Tower stood, the Fool sits, empty, despairing. He hoped to find direction on his spiritual journey, a path to his spiritual self. But having just learned that most of his life was a lie, he now feels lost. Sitting on the cold stones, he looks up at the night sky wishing for some kind of guide.  That is when he notices nearby, a beautiful girl with two water urns. As he watches, she kneels by a pool of water illuminated with reflected starlight. She empties the urns, one into the pool, one onto the thirsty ground.

"What are you doing," he asks her. She looks up at him, her eyes twinkling like Stars. "I am refilling this pool, so that those who are thirsty may drink, and I am also watering the earth, so that more fruit trees will grow to feed those who are hungry." She nods back to a single fruit tree that stands nearby, a nightingale singing amid its branches.

"Come," she invites.  "Sate your hunger and quench your thirst."

The Fool plucks some fruit from the tree, then kneels by her and drinks from the pool. The water tastes wonderful, like liquid starlight, and the fruit is equally delicious.  Both help to heal his wounded heart.

Having quenched his thirst and sated his hunger, The Fool lays back to gaze up at the Stars. "They're so beautiful," he said, "but so distant." "Like possible futures," agrees the girl. "Cool and distant. Yet if you keep one in sight, it can guide you to your destination no matter how far away it is."  Even as she says this, she began to fade away, like dew, vanishing. All that remains was a gleam that was at the center of her forehead. This rises up and up, until it settles in the night sky as a shining star. "Follow your star," the woman's voice seems to sing from that light, "and have hope."

The Fool takes in a breath and rises.  It is a dark night, a desolate land. But for the first time, he has a guiding light to show him the way. Distant as it is, it restores his faith.

Mars enters Leo: August 27th-October 15th

Mars, the fiery planet of aggression, passion and energy leaves its hotel stay in Cancer and will be taking action into Leo through mid-October.  Since Mars transits astrological signs approximately every 2 months, each sign will benefit from His effects in your Sun sign once a year. However, with every transit this will affect all 12 signs of the zodiac, depending on which of the 12 houses this feisty planet governs for you.

Your rising sign/Ascendant determines where your 1st House lies on the astrological wheel. This ultimately designates where your planetary transits hit.  However, if you don't know your rising sign (book a reading with me!), most astrological Horoscopes in books you read, or Solarscopes, predict your Sun Sign as your 1st house.  This is why astrological birth charts are so important.  They are absolutely precise.  This does not negate how Mars will affect your Sun Sign placement through this transition, though.  So Leos, you will be ready to rawwwr!

Mars governs Aries, a cardinal fire sign. Leo is also a fire sign, however a fixed sign, and feels very comfortable in this placement.  And by comfortable, I mean, at home in its direct, passionate, active way.  Do not be surprised, Leo's, if you are hot under the collar through October 15th.  You could be having abnormal amounts of road rage, become unbelievably impatient, and having tons of active sex-scapades in this transit.  You might not need your gym membership this month.  But, keep it just in case, because Mars will have you wanting to exude energy and work out, even if it's not in the passionate way.  You will also be encouraged to be more active in each day.  You will accomplish many tasks and be driven to do so.  Anywhere you go and whatever you do, you will be sweating a lot more than usual.  This transits also coincides with heat of the Summer, which will add to your revvving engine. Cancer:  Praise the Universe, Cancer!  This transit brings in the dough for you. Mars is stimulating your 2nd House of Possessions, Finance & Money.
